Two things you must do before the registration:

1.  Fill in your emergency contact in Taiwan online

Please refer to my.ntu.edu.tw/stuinfo to provide your contact information in Taiwan. As a reminder, all blanks on the page are mandatory items.

-Emergency Contact in Taiwan: Please fill in at least one person who is currently in Taiwan and will be staying here during your exchange period. If you have relatives in Taiwan, you can choose one of them as your emergency contact; if not, you may ask your student volunteer or your fellow students to be your emergency contact in Taiwan. Please note that the contact number of your emergency contact in Taiwan must be local cellphone number.

-Contact number in Taiwan: All the exchange students must get a contact number in Taiwan, which enable the university contact when any accident occurs. There are many telecommunication stores in the Taoyuan International Airport that sell phone card or SIM card, you can simply choose the one which meet your requirements. You can also buy the cards at the telecommunication stores near the campus or you may ask your student volunteer or the reception desk in the dormitory for more help.

2.  Finish payment and get a receipt

Please follow the instruction of How to Print Your Billing Statement to download and finish the payment before the registration.

Four items you need to bring to the registration venue:

1)  Admission letter or Acceptance letter

2)  Payment sheet and receipt

3)  Original file of NTU Health Exam Form & Form C

4) Proof of insurance

Important

Please make sure you have pasted a passport size photo on the NTU Health Exam Form. Students without all required documents or arrive late to the registration venue are not allowed to complete the registration on the assigned date. If you did not complete registration, please email your NTU exchange coordinator to schedule a make-up registration.

Extend or Shorten Your Exchange Period

The maximum exchange period at NTU is one academic year. If you have already been admitted for one academic year, no further extension will be approved.

To extend or shorten your exchange period, you must apply before December 01 during the Fall/First semester or June 01 during the Spring/Second semester. Please note that approvals from both NTU and your home university are required for exchange period extensions. Extension requests are evaluated based on the situation at the time. If the program has reached the maximum number of students, an extension will not be approved.

Please contact your NTU exchange coordinator for further information.
