One semester consists of 14 academic weeks, plus the exam period. Exchange students usually pass all their exams during the first week of the exam period. Make-up exams for exchange students are usually offered in the second week of the exam period.
- You may take up to 30 ECTS credits’ workload.It is strongly recommended to arrange (approve) more than 30 ECTS credits' workload (alternative courses above the maximum of the average = 30 ECTS credit requirement) with your home institution in advance, just in case there are course cancellations or course overlaps and so you need to drop any of your taken courses.
- COST OF LIVING
Students need about € 450 – 750 per month to cover living expenses.
Accommodation: about € 250 – 400 per month per person, depending on the size and location of the flat as well as on the number of students sharing it.
Living costs (food, transport, miscellaneous): about € 400 – 600 per month.
Academic related expenses (student ID, books, photocopying, etc.): about € 50 – 100 per semester
It is suggested that students rent a flat or share a rented flat; this is what most international students do.
