Steps for Receiving Scholarships

International Graduate Student Scholarship (only 109 semester)

Grant details

  1. Scholarship recipients have to pay for each semester's tuition fee by themselves.
  2. Monthly Stipend: TWD 25,000
  3. The stipend will be remitted at the end of each month.

Steps for Scholarship Receiving

First time receiving:
Recipients have to upload:

  • Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) /ROC ID number
  • Postal Bank Account Passbook Cover
  • Tuition payment receipt of the current semester
  • Online system: Information Filling System

To open an account, please go to the post office with:

  • ARC or ROC ID number
  • Passport
  • Student ID
  • TWD 10

Steps for scholarship extension:
The eligibility check will be held once every year by the colleges. The department/college is in charge of the extension standard and application review. If recipients' extension application is approved by the department or college, recipients can continue to receive their scholarship. Please check with your department/college for detailed information.

Important Notes

  • Office of International Affairs is not mainly in charge of the remittance, the exact dates for money remittance depend on the Accounting Office and the Cashier. OIA is not able to predict the date of remittance.
  • Please note that every year, January scholarship might be delayed because of the changing of the fiscal year; the schedule of money remitting will be different in February because of the Chinese New Year holiday. Please prepare beforehand.
  • Scholarship information will be sent to the recipients' NTU webmail. Scholarship recipients should check the school mailbox regularly for the latest information.

Outstanding International Graduate Student Scholarship

Grant details

  1. Monthly Stipend: TWD 35,000 (Scholarship recipients have to pay for each semester's tuition fee by themselves)
  2. Tuition and miscellaneous fees waived + TWD 6,000 up per month
  3. The stipend will be remitted at the end of each month.

Financial Assistance Grant for International Students

Grant details

  • Tuition and miscellaneous fees waived (excluding: insurance, internet, accommodation fees).
    *Students who are studying at the GMBA program, the credits fee shall be covered on their own.
  • Tuition and miscellaneous fees waived + TWD 6,000 per month
    *Students who are studying at the GMBA program will receive:
    Jan-May & Jul-Nov: TWD 6,000/month
    Jun, Dec: TWD 6,000 + (tuition of the College of Management – basic tuition of GMBA program)

  • The stipend will be remitted at the end of each month from September.

MOE Taiwan Scholarship

Scholarship details

  • Tuition and miscellaneous fees waived up to TWD 40,000(excluding: insurance, internet, accommodation fees).
    *The rest of the amount should be borne by the recipients.
  • Graduate: TWD 20,000/month
    Undergraduate: TWD 15,000/month
  • The stipend will be remitted at the end of the month from September.

    2. Last semester's transcript. For graduate students who are writing their thesis without taking any courses, please submit the Evaluation Form.
    3. Tuition payment receipt of the new semester
  • If recipients fail to pass the grade point standard in the first semester, the scholarship stipend will be canceled in April next semester.
    If recipients fail to pass the grade point standard in the second semester, the scholarship stipend will be canceled in November next semester.
    If recipients fail to pass the grade point standard for two consecutive semesters, the scholarship eligibility will be revoked.

  • Decreased from the international student tuition fee to the local student tuition fee
