During the biotechnology lectures, leading researchers from NTU will present the latest discoveries, innovations, and emerging trends in a variety of research fields.

Laboratory Research

You will have the opportunity to participate in a cutting-edge research project, where you'll develop expertise in key techniques, all under the guidance of renowned professors who will mentor you throughout the experience.

+N1 Biotechnology Program(Aug 11-22, 2025)

Lectures and Laboratory Experience

The NTU +N1 Biotechnology Program is an intensive two-week course, conducted in English, designed to provide students with a comprehensive introduction to both the theoretical and practical aspects of biotechnology. Students will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on laboratory sessions, where they will be able to apply the techniques they have learned in a real-world setting. During the laboratory sessions, participants can choose from a variety of fields led by NTU faculty members. The program offers the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research and master essential techniques under the guidance of distinguished professors. In addition, the program includes a series of lectures led by renowned professors on cutting-edge topics and recent developments in the field. This immersive educational experience not only prepares students with practical skills, but also encourages them to think critically, adapt to new challenges, and engage with biotechnology on a global scale.

Field Trip

In addition to the scheduled lectures and laboratory sessions, a field trip will be arranged to provide students with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Taiwanese culture. The itinerary includes visits to a number of historic sites in Taipei City. This excursion is expected to be a memorable and enriching experience for all participants.

The program fee includes tuition, orientation, field trips, and activities.
The accommodation fee is NOT included. Participants should be responsible for their own housing.

Refund Policy

The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

The program fee is: 

• fully refundable if NTU cancels the program.
• fully refundable if the student cancels the program before June 15th.
• 90% refundable if the student cancels the program before the start of class.
• 50% refundable if the student cancels the program before finishing 1/3 of the program.
• not refundable if the student cancels after finishing more than 1/3 of the program.

*Please note our program is a package, including some optional activities. The fee for activities won't be refunded if you choose to be absent from these activities.

* If you pay the program fee by bank wire to Hua Nan Commercial Bank, NTU Branch, please note that you need to consider the exchange rate discrepancy and the wire fees charged by your bank and Hua-Nan Bank in order to make sure you make the exact amount payment to NTU account. The Hua-Nan Bank may charge an additional USD 20 wire fee.

Please be advised that the ROC Exit/Entry Permit application process takes between one and one and a half months. Students of mainland China nationality must submit their applications before April 30th, and pay the course fee and complete all the necessary documentation before May 15th. Please be advised that if you are currently outside of China, you should not leave the country until your Taiwan Entry Permit has been successfully approved. Additionally, you should not apply for the ROC Entry Permit independently.
