Research Course

The 2027 Spring+ Research and Culture Program provides international students the opportunity and the resources to engage in NTU professor's research or laboratories. Under the supervision of NTU faculty members, you will improve your research skills and knowledge in a specific area of interest during this intensive 5-week program.

Exploring Taiwan Course

The Exploring Taiwan Course combines English-conducted lectures, cultural activities, site visits, and a one-day trip to introduce the island’s heritage.

Featured Topics:

• History & Society: Examines historical roots and vibrant festivals shaping modern society.
• Art, Music & Food Culture: Highlights the creative vitality and rich aesthetic traditions.
• Field Excursions & Indigenous Heritage: Experience Taiwan’s nature and living culture through field trips to indigenous tribes, mountain tea estates, and local performing arts.

Credits & Certification
A certificate and an academic transcript with 4 NTU short-term program credits are issued upon successful completion of all program requirements, including attendance, assignments, the final presentation, and meeting evaluation criteria.
For credit transfer, please consult your home institution and campus advisor in advance.

*The program fee includes tuition, orientation, cultural courses, activities, and accident insurance of up to NT$1,000,000, (valid throughout the program).

Program Fee Payment Methods

Bank Wire Payment
When paying the fee via bank wire to Hua Nan Commercial Bank, NTU Branch, please account for exchange rate discrepancies and wire fees from both your bank and Hua Nan Commercial Bank to ensure the exact amount is credited to NTU. Hua Nan Commercial Bank may charge an additional wire fee.

Credit Card Payment
If you pay the program fee by credit card, note that the exchange rate is based on the average calculation from the three months prior to the application period.

Accommodation & Fee

Accommodation is not included in the program fee. Students must arrange their own accommodation in advance.
For NTU Plus Academy Spring+ Programs, we have assisted in arranging an optional housing option at Pure Co-living by 9floor at a discounted rate. Single and double rooms are available, ranging from USD 900-1,150 per person.

• Housing space and room types are limited and not guaranteed.
• Preferences are met on a first-come, first-served basis according to your application submission order.

Refund Policy

The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

The program fee is:

• Fully refundable if NTU cancels the program.
• 90% refundable if the student withdraws from the program before the program start date.
• 50% refundable if the student withdraws before completing one-third (1/3) of the program.
• not refundable if the student withdraws after completing more than one-third (1/3) of the program.

Activity Fees: Our program operates as a package that includes select activities. Activity fees are non-refundable if you choose not to participate or are absent.
Minimum Enrollment: We reserve the right to verify program viability by February 1. If minimum enrollment is not met and the program is cancelled, a full refund of the program fee only will be provided.
Refund Timeline: Refunds are processed after all program sessions conclude. Due to internal administrative procedures, processing typically requires 6 to 8 weeks, with refunds expected to be issued in May.

*For PRC Students Only: A Taiwan Entry Permit is mandatory for entry. An additional USD 30 non-refundable application fee will be added to your total program fee to cover this permit.
