Undergraduate First Year international students:
● Freshman international students DO NOT need to register for College Chinese or Freshman English via the online course selection system. You will be automatically registered after the Chinese and English Proficiency Test.
● You will be able to take“College Chinese” or “Freshman English", which are credits required to graduate, only if you take the proficiency exams.
● Student admitted to the Department of Civil Engineering/Department of Economics fully English Taught Program does NOT need to take the Online Chinese Proficiency Test on August 28, but still need to complete the Online English Proficiency Test on August 28 and the General Chinese Course Registration & Placement Test on September 2.
● The schedule below is for reference only. For the most up-to-date information, please refer to “Notice of Chinese and English Proficiency Test” and the announcement on the website of Chinese and English Proficiency Test.

Qualified students will be exempt from the Online Chinese Proficiency Test, BUT they should bring the original copy of their certificate or result slip to the Department of Chinese Literature Office for verification before 5:00 p.m. on September 22rd (Fri.), 2023.
