  2. GPA should be higher than 3.30.

  4. Not available to students in the College of Medicine, College of Management, College of Law.

✔ Students must arrive several weeks before the start of classes to attend orientation. Additional final exams occur during the final week of the semester. 
Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.
Academic Information
  1. The language requirements listed are the minimum standards. Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.

  4. Restriction: Law School, Medical School and School for Rehabilitation Sciences.
  5. Students must be majoring in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business to attend these schools with pre-requisites completed.
  6. Incoming international exchange students must maintain full-time enrollment, which is at least 12 credit hours. At the University of Pittsburgh, this is typically 4 courses, with each at 3 credit hours. Students should not enroll in more than 18 credit hours. For this reason, it is recommended that students submit at least ten courses at the time of application as a part of the application form. Students ought to provide at 10 courses, in the event that their first choice courses are full.   7. Students who score less than 100 on the TOEFL iBT or Band 7.0 on the IELTS must take an additional proficiency test or ELI class upon arrival.  
  8. Prerequisites: Enrollment into courses is contingent upon availability and meeting the prerequisites of the course. As an exchange student, you may not be able to immediately get into the courses, and a review of your transcript by the specified academic department may be necessary in order to receive permission to be enrolled. 
  9. Language Courses (English language courses are EXTREMELY limited)
  10. Compulsory insurance plan: All students are required to have health insurance coverage during the time of their exchange terms. All plans, however, must be a U.S.-based plan, purchased through an American company, which meets the minimums required for J-1 visa holders. International insurance plans will not be accepted.
