General Category
  1. At least Second-year Undergraduate student/At least First-year master’s student (excluding doctoral students). According to the year of study recorded in the Office of Academic Affairs system at the time of internal selection., 前述「以上」包含該年級.
  2. TOEFL iBT 90 (Reading 20 Listening 20 Speaking 20 Writing 20 Accept Home Edition) or IELTS 6.5 (Listening 6.0 Reading 6.0 Writing 6.0 Speaking 6.0) or The General English Proficiency Test (High-Intermediate).
  3. Not available to students in the College of Management, College of Law, College of Engineering.

1 student for 1 semester.

⚠️ Important Notice
According to an announcement by the Government of Canada, a cap on the number of student visas (Study Permits) has been introduced starting from 2024/2025AY. This may affect exchange programmes with a duration of one full academic year. One-semester exchange programmes are not affected at this time, as a Study Permit is not required.

Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.
Academic Information

  4. At UVic, the International Centre for Students (ICS) operates an exchange program for the Faculties of Humanities, Science and Social Sciences, while the School of Business and Faculty of Law operate separate exchange programs.
  5. Inbound ICS exchange students are restricted from enrolling in any courses in the following departments:
    • Civil Engineering (CIVE)
    • Law (LAW) 
  6. Limited courses are available to inbound ICS exchange students in the following departments: 
    • Business 
    • Education 
    • Human and Social Development 
    • Fine Arts 
    • Engineering (Software, Mechanical, Computer, Biomedical, Electrical)
  7. Minimum Course Registration Requirement: Exchange students living in on-campus housing must be registered in a minimum of 4.5 UVic units per term.
  8. Cost of living: varies each year (approx. $1200/month for housing and food)
  9. Insurance: All UVic students are required to have comprehensive coverage for the entire duration of their studies.
