  1. At least Second-year Undergraduate student/At least First-year master’s student (excluding doctoral students). According to the year of study recorded in the Office of Academic Affairs system at the time of internal selection..
  2. TOEFL iBT 87 (Accept Home Edition) or IELTS 6.0 or The General English Proficiency Test (High-Intermediate) or The BEST Test of English Proficiency B2 (Vantage).
  3. Application is limited to students in the College of Science, College of Engineering, College of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, College of Graduate School of Advanced Technology.

Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.

  1. The language requirements listed are the minimum standards. Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.

  4. Most Bachelor programmes are NOT open for exchange students because teaching language is Swedish. Only 1 Bachelor programme Information and Communication Technology is open for exchange, most exchange students no matter which level they are studying at home university, they might have to choose courses at Master's level at KTH.
  5. Architecture programme is NOT open for exchange student.
  6. It is advised that students make a Learning Agreement/Study plan including only 30 credits per semester. KTH cannot guarantee student's admittance to courses exceeding this 30 credits limit. 30 credits is a full time study load and is also a requirement in order to get a Residence Permit for studies in Sweden.

  2. Cost of living: SEK 9,450-12,350 per month
  3. It is very important that all international students have complete insurance coverage for their entire stay in Sweden. Consequently, KTH asks all international students to have a complete insurance cover when arriving to KTH. Important areas that the insurance should cover are: personal injury, medical and dental care, accidents, personal belongings (luggage etc.), liability coverage, legal expense coverage, home transportation (in case of injury or illness). As a compliment the student is covered by the Student IN insurance provided by Kammarkollegiet.

Swedish Residence Permit
The Swedish residence permit is closely related to the credits earned during the exchange period. Please strictly adhere to the course selection rules and do not arbitrarily drop out to avoid affecting the validity of your residence permit. Please refer to the Swedish Immigration Department website for more information.
