Application requirement
German Category
  1. At least Second-year Undergraduate student/At least First-year master’s student (excluding doctoral students). According to the year of study recorded in the Office of Academic Affairs system at the time of internal selection..
  2. TOEFL iBT 80 (Accept Home Edition) or IELTS 6.0 or The General English Proficiency Test (High-Intermediate) or The BEST Test of English Proficiency B2 (Vantage).
  3. or
  4. German at least B2(High-Intermediate) level.
Quota
2 students for 1 academic year.
(Admitted students are limited to depart in the 1st semester of NTU, for their exchange of one semester or one academic year.)
Academic Calendar
Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.
Academic Information

Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.

  5. For students studying German Studies – German Philology, German as a Second and Foreign Language – at the University of Vienna, the new required level of German is C1.

Accommodation Information
The University of Vienna does not have its own student halls of residence. Students are therefore responsible for organising accommodation for their stay in Vienna themselves. We strongly recommend starting to search for accommodation as soon as possible, especially if you are going to stay in a hall of residence.
