⚠️ Important Notice
According to an announcement by the Government of Canada, a cap on the number of student visas (Study Permits) has been introduced starting from 2024/2025AY. This may affect exchange programmes with a duration of one full academic year. One-semester exchange programmes are not affected at this time, as a Study Permit is not required.

Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.
Academic Information

Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.

- Courses in Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, eMBA, Kinesiology, and Engineering are NOT open to exchange students.
- Mandatory Course Load: Students must take a minimum of 3 courses per semester and a maximum of 5 courses per semester.
- Cost of living: Approximately $1500 per month
- English Academic Preparation (EAP) is taken at a cost for exchange students. We do provide modern language classes (included in exchange).
- Medical Insurance: Each exchange student must purchase mandatory emergency medical coverage through Guard Me International Insurance using the UPEI access code of 2456 to secure the UPEI preferred rate and must provide proof of this to the UPEI exchange coordinator prior to arrival. - We do not offer scholarship for exchange.
