Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.

4. The academic year at Durham University follows a term system with 3 terms per year. Examinations are mostly held at the end of each academic year only.

3. The Orientation Session is held on the Friday morning before Induction Week. Students will join their College's Freshers' activities together with the degree students during induction week.
4. The normal workload for a full-time student is 120 Durham credits per academic year. This normally equates to 6 modules per academic year at 20 credits each.

All full year non-European exchange students from non-European partners are guaranteed a place in one of the residential colleges of the University if they apply for the programme by the deadline. Students opt for college accommodation on the application form. Students will be notified of their college via e-mail. The college will then contact the student with further details prior to arrival.
