Academic Calendar
Winter Semester: 1st week of October-January 31st (Start of the compulsory orientation programme: 2nd or 3rd week of September)
Summer Semester: 1st week of March-June 30th (Start of the compulsory orientation programme: 2nd week of February)

Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.
 
Academic Information
  1. The language requirements listed are the minimum standards. Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.
  2. English-taught courses in the fields of Social Sciences and Law at this university are extremely limited. Students with only English proficiency must ensure there are enough available courses before selecting this university
  3. Courses in the fields of Electrical Engineering and Medicine are taught entirely in German

Practical Information
  1. JKU offers a pre-semester programme including an Intensive German Language Course (3 ECTS credits), Cultural Sensitivity Training (2 ECTS credits), Campus tour, excursions etc. in order to provide the students with all necessary information and assist them with the required procedures.
  2. Living costs are currently estimated between € 800 and € 1250, including € 300 to € 750 for accommodation, € 350 for food, and € 150 for other expenses.
