Exchange students who are selected and recommended by NTU are not allowed, after receiving admission approval from the host university, to request changes to the granted admission conditions, nor may they, if their exchange application is rejected by the host university, request to reapply under different conditions. Any such actions will result in immediate cancellation of their admission eligibility.

Students who wish to apply for law courses must meet School of Law's minimum CGPA requirement of 3.0 (out of 4.3), AND English requirement of TOEFL 100 (internet-based test) or IELTS 7. The TOEFL and IELTS scores should be obtained within 3 years before admission.

For pre-requisite required courses, students must have taken courses considered equivalent to the pre-requisite.

12-18 credit units per semester. Exchange students must take full-time credit-unit load, i.e. at least 12 credits per semester in order to meet the visa requirements set by the Hong Kong SAR Immigration. A credit unit is earned by approximately forty to fifty hours of student work.

Department of Veterinary Medicine is NOT open to exchange students.

NTU exchange students who receive admission from the host university may have the opportunity to be awarded the Explorer Grant (EG) offered by the university. The number of grants and award amounts will be determined according to the host university's notification.
