- TOEFL iBT 79 (Do not accept Home Edition) or IELTS 6.0. or
- German at least B1(Intermediate) level, At least CEFR B1 / B2 level - required level depends on TUM School / discipline.

Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.
Academic Information
- The language requirements listed are the minimum standards. Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.
- The number of courses offered in English is constantly increasing. About half of TUM's Master's programs are entirely conducted in English and some more are taught bilingually in German and English. Students are advised to check the language of instruction for the desired courses in advance.

- Course catalogue and course descriptions: If there are no courses listed for the semester they want to study in (which usually is the case as they are planning their studies in advance of faculty timetabling), they should just choose the same semester for which they are planning to come but for the previous year (the offered courses in each semester usually stay the same).

- 60% of exchange students' TUM study load must be completed at their main host subject area / school.

Accommodation Information
The TUM Global Office receives a limited number of dormitory offerings (Service Package) from Munich Student Union. Students wishing to be considered for this Service Package must check the relevant box in the application form and have to be enrolled until a set deadline (to be announced after admission).
