General Category
- At least First-year Undergraduate student (undergraduate students only). According to the year of study recorded in the Office of Academic Affairs system at the time of internal selection..
- GPA should be higher than 2.60.
- TOEFL iBT 80 (Do not accept Home Edition) or IELTS 6.5.
- Not available to students in the College of Medicine, College of Law.

Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.
Academic Information
- The language requirements listed are the minimum standards. Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.

- Provided that they meet the relevant academic background and course enrollment requirements, exchange students may enroll in courses across different disciplines.
- Please note, all students regardless of status at home university will be coded as undergraduate students.
- All exchange students are required to the prerequisite requirements for the courses they plan on taking.
- Incoming exchange students are not allowed to take any coursework in the School of Medicine, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, School of Dentistry, and the College of Law.
- Exchange students MUST enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours to comply with USA visa regulations
- University of Utah Health Insurance is required of all international exchange students and that the applicant must pay their insurance bill by the tuition due date
- Exchange students are responsible for differential fees that are charged by certain departments on campus.
