Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.
Academic Information
  1. Please note that the university has indicated that, due to the inability to assess the impact of future pandemics, the exchange program may be canceled at short notice even if a quota is allocated to our university.
    In addition, the travel advisory for Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau has been raised to Orange. Students planning to choose this university for exchange should take this into consideration.

  2. The language requirements listed are the minimum standards. Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.
    If any information provided in this table conflicts with the latest announcements from the exchange university, country, or region, applicants should follow the most recent official announcements from the respective university, country, or region.
    Exchange students who are selected and recommended by NTU are not allowed, after receiving admission approval from the host university, to request changes to the granted admission conditions, nor may they, if their exchange application is rejected by the host university, request to reapply under different conditions. Any such actions will result in immediate cancellation of their admission eligibility.

  3. Students with any previous failing or non-passing courses are not eligible to apply.

  4. Transcripts are mailed in the third week after the start of the following semester. Students who face credit transfer or graduation deadlines should consider this carefully.

  5. The Foreign Languages College’s minor language programs do not accept exchange students in their third year or above.

    1. The School of Economics, School of Management, and International Finance Institute do not accept graduate exchange students due to differences in their academic programs.
    2. Within each faculty, programs marked as “Professional Degree” are not open to exchange students.
    3. Senior-year (fourth-year) students are not accepted for exchange due to limited course offerings.
    4. Exchange students must have no failing grades on their transcripts.
    5. Undergraduate exchange students are required to have a GPA of at least 3.1/4.0 (with 4.0 being the maximum at our university).
    6. Pan-Asia International Finance Institute accepts a maximum of 5 undergraduate exchange students per semester (from all Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan universities).

Accommodation Information & Other Information
  1. Accommodation standards for exchange students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan universities: Estimated at 800 yuan per semester (payment can be made through an online payment platform mid-semester)
  2. Dormitories typically consist of 6-person/8-person suites and 2-person rooms, each equipped with air conditioning and a private bathroom; the dormitory building provides public washing machines and dryers; electricity costs are shared among the occupants; monthly internet fees are required, or third-party operator networks can be purchased.
  3. Exchange students will be notified separately of course selection, accommodation, airport transfers, and welcome arrangements.
