✔ Note: The exchange for one academic year is Fall and Winter Term, the exchange for the previous semester is Fall Term, and the exchange for the next semester is Winter Term.
Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.
Academic Information
- The language requirements listed are the minimum standards. Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.

- With a background in relevant fields and course selection criteria, exchange students can choose courses across disciplines. Master's programs can choose up to one undergraduate course.
- The full-time course load is 5 courses per term (equivalent to 2.5 units) with a minimum of 3 courses per term (equivalent to 1.5 units). Most of our courses are assessed as a unit of 0.5 and are approximately 39 teaching hours per term. One undergraduate course at 0.5 units is equivalent to 6 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). Details of specific unit weights and teaching hours per course are available via our undergraduate schedule of classes.
- The majority of students' courses should be in Arts, Engineering, Environment, and Math.
- Posrgraduate students can only take one (1) undergraduate course.
- Effective Fall 2023, due to limited course capacity and high demand for computer science (CS) courses, exchange students will be restricted to enrolling in a maximum of two (2) computer science courses per term. This includes courses cross-listed with computer science.
- Estimated cost of living: $5,300 - $9,700 per term in Canadian dollars.
