Academic Calendar
Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.
 
Academic Information
  1. The language requirements listed are the minimum standards. Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.
  2. At undergraduate level, there is only a limited number of courses taught in English. Thus, advanced proficiency in German is highly recommended for undergraduate students.

    1. Private insurance: Students can take out an insurance policy abroad that covers the European area. Please contact one of the statutory German health insurance companies, quoting sender number H0001178, to check if your insurance cover is enough to exempt you from statutory German health insurance.
    2. Statutory insurance: If they have not arranged any private insurance or their cover is not sufficient, students can take out statutory German health insurance, which costs around €135-€150 per month. Please contact one of the statutory German health insurance companies, quoting sender number H0001178, to get insured and request an insurance number.

Accommodation Information
Students can apply for a room in a dorm owned by the Studierendenwerk Bonn via the online application page. The rental contract will be emailed to the student and will need to be signed around 6 weeks before they arrive.
