- At least First-year Undergraduate student (undergraduate students only). According to the year of study recorded in the Office of Academic Affairs system at the time of internal selection..
- GPA should be higher than 2.75.
- TOEFL iBT 79 (Do not accept Home Edition) or IELTS 7.0.
- Not available to students in the College of Medicine, College of Management, College of Law.

Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.
Academic Information
- The language requirements listed are the minimum standards. Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.

- Capstone, Med school, Palmetto college, Honors, Law, Pharmacy, Regional courses are not open to exchange students.
- Exchange students are required to take a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 16 credit hours per semester.
- Health Insurance: You are required to purchase the UofSC health insurance or provide proof of comparable coverage.
- Estimated cost of living: Students have to certify for around $10,000 per semester.

All exchange students are placed in residence halls that remain open during university breaks and that have kitchen facilities. Theseoptions can vary based on availability. Exchange students can be placed anywhere on-campus and usually live in the Quads, Carolina International House at Maxcy College (Maxcy), Bates-West or any of the Horseshoe apartments. Housing is guaranteed but preferences are not.
