1. At least First-year Undergraduate student/At least First-year master’s student (excluding doctoral students). According to the year of study recorded in the Office of Academic Affairs system at the time of internal selection..
2. GPA should be higher than 3.30.
3. TOEFL iBT 92 (Do not accept Home Edition) or IELTS 6.5.

4. Russian (TORFL) at least 第一級TРКИ-1 level.

1. The language requirements listed are the minimum standards. Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.

4. PhD students accepted only in case a consent from a scientific advisor from SPbU provided.

5. SPbU teaches courses in Russian and English. Some courses are also instructed in German, French, Spanish and Chinese.

7. Academic Workload and Russian Language Course

8. Average workload for exchange students is 20 academic hours (10 classes) per week (30 ECTS credits per semester).

9. Students can optionally take a free Russian language course for foreign students during the whole exchange period (8 academic hours per week). If chosen, Russian language course is included into the academic workload for students.

10. Full-time Russian language course for foreign students (20 academic hours per week) is also available at any level of Russian language proficiency. Philology should be chosen as the field of studies in this case.
