National Taiwan University (NTU) Global Pathway Program for First Semester AY 2025/26
Publish Date:2025-06-16 09:00:00In response to the academic transition needs of students who have been admitted to or are currently enrolled at universities in the United States, NTU has established the NTU Global Pathway Program to invite eligible students to apply to be visiting students starting from the first semester of the 2025/26 academic year at NTU.
About the Program
1. Applicants who are admitted will be able to study at NTU as visiting students for one semester starting from September 2025.
2. Students can apply for NTU English and Mandarin official transcripts after completion of the program.
3. Students will receive an NTU visiting student ID card upon registration.
Program Duration
First Semester AY 2025/26: September 1, 2025 to December 19, 2025.
Eligibility
Students who have been admitted to or are currently enrolled at universities in the United States-.
Application Period
From 9:00 AM, June 16, 2025 (GMT+8) to 12:00 PM (noon), August 15, 2025 (GMT+8)
How to Apply
Applicants are required to complete the online application, submit all necessary documents, and pay the application fee through the NTU Incoming Visiting Student Program System during the application period.
Application Documents
1. Passport size photo in digital format
l This photo will be used for your NTU student ID card.
l Please provide a photo in JPEG format that meets the guidelines.
2. Admission letter or certificate of enrollment
l Current students enrolled at universities in the United States must submit an enrollment certificate issued within the past two months with the official stamp of the institution.
l Admitted students who have not yet enrolled are required to provide the official admission letter.
3. Official Transcript of Academic Records
l Current students should provide a complete transcript listing all courses and academic records from the time of enrollment through the end of previous semester.
l Admitted students who have not yet enrolled are required to provide the transcript of their previous academic history.
4. Scanned Color Copy of Passport
Fees and Tuition
1. Application Fee: TWD 15,000, to be paid at the time of application. This fee is non-refundable regardless of admission results.
2. Program Fee: TWD 40,000, to be paid upon registration. This fee is non-refundable.
3. Tuition and Miscellaneous Fees: Fees vary depending on the college and level of study and must be paid at the time of registration in accordance with the tuition and fee standards for international students. Program Restrictions
Please apply to a department or program that aligns with your field of study or the program to which you were admitted at your home university.
Course Information and Restrictions
1. Visiting students must take at least 2 courses or 4 credits per semester.
2. The following courses are NOT OPEN to visiting students:
l GMBA required/core courses, EMBA and EiMBA courses
l Practicum courses offered by the departments
l Courses offered by Center for Teaching Education, academic programs(學分學程), and School of Professional Education and Continuing Studies, Summer Session (暑修) and Summer College (夏季學院) courses.
3. In regards to course selection restrictions, please refer to the column "Limits on Course adding/dropping" for each specific course at NTU Online Course Information.
4. Course information and schedule for the first semester of the 2025/26 academic year will be announced on the NTU Online Course Information System from August 1, 2025. Before this, you may refer to course schedules from prior semesters for a reference or consult with the NTU department/college offices directly.
Application Result
Results will be announced periodically between July 4 and August 22, 2025.
Important Notice
1. Students are required to attend orientation activities from August 25 to August 28. Attendance is mandatory. Unexcused absences will be considered a withdrawal from the program.
2. Please be advised that the Taiwan Entry Permit (入臺證) application process takes at least two months for students holding Mainland China passports. Failure to obtain the permit in time—resulting in missed orientation activities or course registration—will affect your academic schedule and related entitlements. Applicants are strongly advised to evaluate their ability to meet this requirement and to ensure compliance within the required timeframe.
3. Applicants are not eligible to apply for the General and Enhancing Chinese Courses or on-campus housing.
4. Only applications with all required documents submitted and payment completed by 12:00 PM on August 15, 2025 will be processed. Late submissions will not be considered.
5. Visiting students may request transcripts upon completion of the program. For inquiries regarding credit transfer, please contact your home university directly.
