  2. GPA should be higher than 3.00.
  3. TOEFL iBT 85 (Do not accept Home Edition) or IELTS 6.0.

Not available to students in the College of Medicine, College of Law, Graduate Institute of Journalism , College of Social Sciences, College of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, Department of Library & Information Science, College of Liberal Arts, Graduate Institute of Library & Information Science, College of Liberal Arts, College of Management, College of Public Health, Graduate Institute of National Development, College of Social Sciences, Graduate Institute of Graduate Institute of Public Affairs , College of Social Sciences, Department of Social Work, College of Social Sciences.

2 students for 1 academic year.
(Admitted students are limited to depart in the 1st semester of NTU, for their exchange of one semester or one academic year.)

✔ All exchange students are required to attend orientation at the start of the exchange program. Orientation is a full day session scheduled the day before the first day of class.
Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.

Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.

  4. Areas of Study Avalible: Exchange students can take courses in any department within the College of Arts and Sciences, which includes more than 40 academic departments and interdisciplinary curricula. Enrollment will be subject to availability and will be dependent upon students having met any course prerequisites. Please refer to the UNC catalog for course descriptions.

Eshelman School of Pharmacy, Gillings School of Global Public Health, Kenan-Flagler Business School, Law School, School of Dentistry, School of Education, School of Government, School of Information & Library Science, Hussman School of Journalism and Mass Communication, School of Medicine, School of Nursing and School of Social Work are not open to exchange students. 
  7. Please note there is a 2 course limit, per semester, for Economics and Psychology courses.
  8. Academic workload for exchange students:
    • Undergraduate: 12 credit hours (4 courses) minimum per semester 
    • Graduate: credit hours (3 courses) minimum per semester
  9. All exchnage students will be charged a $100 administration fee at the beginning of the program.
