  2. TOEFL iBT 92 (Accept Home Edition) or IELTS 6.5 or The General English Proficiency Test (High-Intermediate).
  3. Not available to students in the Department of Economics, College of Social Sciences, Graduate Institute of Economics, College of Social Sciences(其餘系所之修課限制,請詳閱注意事項說明).

Academic Calendar
Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.

Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.

  4. Please note, the Swedish Migration Agency requires students to be accepted to full–time studies to issue residence permits for non-EU/EES students. Full-time study means 30 credits (or higher education points) per term. You cannot receive a residence permit for distance learning or online courses. 
  5. Restricted subject areas for exchange students:
    • Business Studies – entry requirements vary considerably and are generally high. Master level courses require a finished Bachelor's degree majoring in business.
    • Biomedicine – Students must have a very strong academic background. Limited space.
    • Economics – no courses available from the Department of Economics.
    • Government – limited space on certain courses
    • History – limited space on certain courses.
    • Law – entry requirement is a minimum of two years of completed full time Law studies.
    • Medicine – Clinical Medicine courses are not offered on university-wide exchange agreements. No entry-level courses taught in English. Students must have a strong academic background within Medicine and meet the entry requirements described in the course description.
    • Natural Sciences including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Engineering - few to no entry-level courses taught in English. Students must have a very strong academic background within these subjects and meet the entry requirements described in the course description.
    • Pharmacy – Students must have a very strong academic background. Limited space.
    • Philosophy – only few courses available with high entry requirements.
    • Psychology – only few courses, on a basic level, taught in English with very limited space on courses.
    • Sociology – only few courses available with high entry requirements.
  6. Please note: there is NO add-and-drop period at Uppsala University.
Practical Information
  1. Basic Swedish language courses run part time and as afternoon/evening classes, throughout both terms and are worth 7.5 credits. There are several levels available depending on Swedish language skills.
  2. Housing, financing and health care
  3. insurance: All exchange students who are physically in Sweden conducting on campus studies are automatically covered by an insurance policy taken by Uppsala University, Student IN, covering emergency medical care (for non-EU/EES citizens), liability coverage, legal coverage and accident insurance. Accommodation Information
Housing is not guaranteed, but accommodation is offered for exchange students based on the following conditions:
1. The exchange agreement is relatively well balanced with regard to incoming / outgoing students.
2. The application for housing in Uppsala is submitted on time and the student has accepted the offer by the deadline specified in the housing offer.
Swedish Residence Permit
The Swedish residence permit is closely related to the credits earned during the exchange period. Please strictly adhere to the course selection rules and do not arbitrarily drop out to avoid affecting the validity of your residence permit. Please refer to the Swedish Immigration Department website for more information.
