6. During the application stage, all exchange programs are administered through the university’s International Education College. Upon receiving the application materials, the university will assign exchange students to specific faculties based on the submitted study plan.
7. International students enrolling in courses taught in Chinese must provide proof of HSK Level 4 or above. Students whose highest degree was completed in Chinese-taught programs are exempt from submitting an HSK certificate but must provide proof of the language of instruction.
8. Course Regulations:
   • Undergraduate exchange students typically enroll in 3–5 courses, each worth 2 or 3 credits. There is no minimum course requirement, but students may take a maximum of 6 courses per semester.
   • Graduate students must enroll in at least one graduate-level course or conduct research under the supervision of a Shandong University faculty member.
9. Most courses are taught in Chinese. Some courses in Economics, Management, Political Science, Law, and Mechanical Engineering are offered in English.
10. It is recommended that exchange students have an English proficiency level of TOEFL iBT 80 or IELTS 6.0.
11. Six faculties are located on the Qingdao Campus: the School of Political Science and Public Administration, the School of Law, the School of Life Sciences, the School of Information Science and Engineering, the School of Computer Science and Engineering, and the School of Environmental Science and Engineering. All other faculties are located on the Jinan campuses.
12. Airport Pickup Service:
    The university provides free pickup service for exchange students arriving at Jinan International Airport and Jinan Railway Station (West Station) on the registration day. Please refer to the pre-departure information for specific arrangements.
