  2. TOEFL iBT 90 (Writing 20 Accept Home Edition) or IELTS 6.5 (Listening 5.5 Reading 5.5 Writing 5.5 Speaking 5.5) or The General English Proficiency Test (High-Intermediate).

Academic Calendar
Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.

Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.

  6. The semester requires a fixed course load of 30 credits, no more nor less. One week of full-time study equals 1.5 credits, accounting for a workload of approximately 40 hours per week. This includes time spent on lectures, readings, assignments, seminars, and independent studies.
Practical Information
  1. Incoming exchange students are covered by the insurance Student-IN, which they receive free of charge.
  2. Cost of Living
  3. Swedish language courses, on different levels, are offered for free by the Department of Swedish Language and Multilingualism to all incoming exchange students. Information about the language courses is available here.
Accommodation Information
Admitted exchange students will receive an email with application instructions regarding housing. It is very important to follow the specified application deadline for housing. Failure to comply with the instructions and deadline will impact result in no support from Stockholm University in finding housing.
Swedish Residence Permit
The Swedish residence permit is closely related to the credits earned during the exchange period. Please strictly adhere to the course selection rules and do not arbitrarily drop out to avoid affecting the validity of your residence permit. Please refer to the Swedish Immigration Department website for more information.
