- At least First-year Undergraduate student/First-year master’s student/First-year doctoral student. According to the year of study recorded in the Office of Academic Affairs system at the time of internal selection..
- TOEFL iBT 79 (Do not accept Home Edition) or IELTS 6.0 or The General English Proficiency Test (High-Intermediate), 僅具備英語能力者,請詳閱注意事項. or
- German at least B2(High-Intermediate) level.
- Not available to students in the College of Medicine, College of Public Health.

Academic Calendar
Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.
Academic Information
- The language requirements listed are the minimum standards. Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.
- Website of incoming exchange students / Course catalogue
- Most of the courses at RUB are taught in German. There are courses in English that are published in our International Course Catalogue. Students should have a good knowledge of German, at least a B1/B2 level for courses taught in German.
- Dates for exams are set by each faculty. However, exams usually take place in the last week of the lectures or the week afterwards. Please note, they may also take place later (e.g. in Engineering or Economics).

- VISA application information
- At the beginning of each semester, International Welcome is held for international students. There they get a chance to meet other students and receive important information. Exchange students will be informed about this offer via email.
Accommodation Information
The International Office offers a special service for exchange students. Students can apply for accommodation for the duration of their exchange (1-2 semesters). Since the International Office can only reserve a limited number of rooms for exchange students, early registration and flexibility is useful.
