  1. At least Second-year Undergraduate student/First-year master’s student/First-year doctoral student. According to the year of study recorded in the Office of Academic Affairs system at the time of internal selection..
  2. GPA should be higher than 3.20.
  3. TOEFL iBT 79 (Reading 13 Listening 13 Speaking 18 Writing 21 Do not accept Home Edition) or IELTS 6.5 (Listening 6.0 Reading 6.0 Writing 6.0 Speaking 6.0).

6 students for 1 academic year.
(Admitted students are limited to depart in the 1st semester of NTU, for their exchange of one semester or one academic year.) (In accordance with NTU’s Visiting Student Program regulations, students are required to pay the visiting student program fee as well as the host institution’s visiting student tuition.)
Academic Calendar

Semester 1: February - June
Semester 2: July - November

  • Welcome Day is typically scheduled a week prior to the commencement of the semester and attendance is compulsory for all incoming exchange students.
  • Students are required to remain in Melbourne until all assessment items are completed. Return airfares should be booked for dates after the end of the exam period.

Registration for Exchange
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.
 
Registration for Visiting
  1. Students admitted to the Visiting Student Program are responsible for all program-related expenses required by the host institution, including visiting student fees, accommodation, living expenses, insurance, round-trip airfare, and any other related costs.
  2. Admitted students must complete registration at this university and, upon enrollment confirmation, pay a program fee of NTD 2,500, as well as one-quarter (1/4) of NTU’s tuition and miscellaneous fees.

The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available

  4. Students are required to enroll in a minimum of 37.5 points and a maximum of 50 points (3 to 4 subjects) per semester.

  8. Students should take a full subject load of 50 points (usually 12.5 points x 4 subjects) for one semester. The minimum enrolment for student visa purposes is 37.5 points for one semester.

    • It is an Australian Government requirement that all international students studying on a student visa have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), from an approved Australian provider.
    • Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) will not be issued until proof of an OSHC policy purchased through the University of Melbourne or independently is provided.
