1. 本校大二以上(僅限大學部)學生。（以報名交換學生甄選時，本校教務處學籍系統上之年級為準），前述「以上」包含該年級。
2. GPA 達3.00分以上，選填志願前請務必詳閱系所限制。
3. 具西班牙語檢定成績 B2(中高級) 級以上，DELE or SIELE or FLPT，該校部分系所可能有更高語檢要求，選填志願前請務必主動確認。
4. 不接受醫學院、公共衛生學院之學生申請。

5. Medicine, Health sciences, and Nursing students may come, but those faculties are closed for exchange students. They may take elective courses only.
6. Please also note the following:
   • Music: Only for theoretical courses.
   • Health Sciences: Medicine offers a Clinical Rotation Program; for details, please write to ico.med@uc.cl. Additionally, Medicine has a limited number of semester courses; reference data can be found in the general course list at this link. Dentistry is closed for exchange; Nursing is only for specific agreements; Health Sciences (Nutrition, Speech Therapy, and Kinesiology): internships and clinical placements are closed, and exchange for regular courses is open but subject to authorization based on a prior evaluation of each candidate.
   • Economic and Administrative Sciences: Courses are restricted only to applicants who meet the requirements for each course.
   • Psychology Courses: Students in their second to fourth year of the degree may apply.
   • Biological Sciences: Marine Biology courses are not open.
   • Art Courses: Art courses are available to students coming from an art major. Students interested in enrolling in workshop or practical courses at the Faculty of Art should be aware that there is an extra cost related to the purchase of materials. The semester cost is approximately $100,000 to $150,000 (CLP) per course.
   • Architecture: Year-long exchanges are not possible. Due to limited course capacity, the School of Architecture offers a limited number of semester spots, which are competitive among all students interested in an exchange in this area. The School conducts a selection process based on the candidate's academic record and portfolio. Applicants must attach summarized portfolios of 2 letter-sized pages (four sides) in PDF format. The courses available to students will only be: Project Workshop (1st-3rd year Training / 4th and 5th year Practice). Core courses (unrestricted) and elective courses – OPR (maximum of 2). Courses not open to exchange students include: Degree Studios (Final Degree Project), Research Workshop, Construction Practice, and Professional Internship. Some Architecture courses require the purchase of materials, which must be acquired directly by the students. Spots are limited and cannot be guaranteed. The School of Architecture reserves the right of admission.
   • Theater: Students interested in enrolling in practical subjects at the School of Theater must attach a video of themselves performing a scene and a monologue in Spanish.
7. Subject to university's approval, Master's and PhD students may take undergraduate-level courses/subjects/units.
8. Subject to university's approval, students may take cross-faculty courses.

10. All exchange students need to purchase full coverage international health insurance in their countries of origin before coming to Chile. 
11. International students must have a good command of the Spanish language. Those who are not native Spanish speakers must meet the accredited B2 level language requirement (according to CEFR) (present a DELE, SIELE certificate or a letter from the Spanish department of the university of origin accrediting the B2 level).
12. Summer schools, internship are also available and open for exchange programs.

Please be aware of our disposition at UC Chile regarding the migratory procedures which must be carried out by students in mobility to Chile, in accordance with the new Chilean migratory law (Ley No. 21,325). 

• Those students coming to Chile for a period of less than 180 days may enter the country under a permit called 'Permiso de Permanencia Transitoria', which is granted automatically* when you enter the country. It is applicable to short stays including tourism and study purposes, among others. It has a duration of 90 days and it is renewable for an additional 90-day period by lodging a visa extension (prórroga de Permanencia Transitoria).
  • Important: Citizens from some countries are required to apply beforehand for the ´Permiso de Permanencia Transitoria: Check first the column 'REQ. VISTUR' at this link and if you are subject to apply for this permit you can lodge your application following the instructions contained at the Official Website from The Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 'Servicios Consulares' (in Spanish).
• Those students coming to Chile for a period longer than 180 days must apply for a Temporary Visa (Residencia Temporal, under subclass 'student') through the Official Website of the Chilean National Migration Service.
