*Exchange students can leave anytime after their exams end. They don't need to stay until the end of semester.

須在本校註冊並繳交全額學雜費，免繳該校學費，但該校雜費、住宿費、生活費、保險費、往返機票費等均須自行負擔。

1. 交換學校一覽表所列之語言能力為該校之最低門檻要求，同學需自行確認語言能力是否符合該校修課要求、查詢是否有相對應系所及足夠的課程可供選讀、能否達到該校之每學期修課學分數要求、以及是否具備相關領域之背景知識，若未達標準，該校有權拒收

• All exchange studenrts need to be affiliated with CJLC or CGE.

• CJLC: Courses are conducted in Japanese. Students are placed in classes based on the result of our Japanese language placement test regardless of Bachelor, Master or PhD.

• CGE: Courses are conducted in English. Courses offered by CGE are undergraduate level, if Master and PhD students understand it, we can accept students regardless of Bachelor, Master or PhD.

1. 該校僅開放大學部的課程供所有學生選讀，請研究生及博士生自行考量修課限制。

2. CGE students need to take courses mainly offered by CGE. CGE students can take courses offered by ILA (Institute for the Liberal Arts) up to 3 subjects, and also Japanese language corses offered by CJLC up to 3 credits.
   CJLC students need to take courses mainly offered by CJLC. Based on the result of our Japanese language placement test, CJLC students who are considered to have sufficient Japanese languae skills can take courses offered by undergraduae faculties*. (*Only CJLC students those who are in graduate courses at home Institutes are allowed to take classes for graduate programs.)

3. CGE offeres Japanese Culture, Society, and Nature in English. 

4. CJLC offeres intensive Japanese language and Japanise culture in Japanese. 

5. Students in CGE program: Law School and Business School don’t open any courses  

6. Students in CJLC program: Law School, Business School and Institute for the Liberal Arts (ILA) don’t open any courses

8. Doshisha does not provide post graduate level of study, but they are welcome to join our programmes.

9. 最低修課限制：Students should take more than 7 classes (1 class=90 minutes) at least per week. It is prescribed by law.

10. Estimated cost of living: The average monthly living cost in Kyoto is around 120,000 JPY including rent (at the very least 100,000JPY). Please keep this in mind when making plans to study in Japan.  

11. All exchange students need to pay 2,500 JPY/semester as Educational Support Fee to the Center for Global Education at the beginning of each semester. (The amount of fee is subject to change.)

12. All International students residing in Japan for more than 3 months are required to enroll in the insurance.
