1. 交換學校一覽表所列之語言能力為該校之最低門檻要求，同學需自行確認語言能力是否符合該校修課要求、查詢是否有相對應的系所及足夠的課程可供選讀、能否達到該校之每學期修課學分數要求、以及是否具備相關領域之背景知識，若未達標準，該校有權拒收。

4. NOT open to exchange students: Dentistry
5. Restrictions:
   - Courses in the fields of Psychology and at our School of Business and Economics have limited capacity. Therefore, incoming exchange students majoring in Psychology, Business and Economics are given priority in registering for courses in these subject areas. Students with different majors can apply for courses in these fields but should be prepared to adapt their course choice in case these courses are full.
   - Bachelor's students are not allowed to follow courses at Master's level, unless these courses are also mentioned in the exchange courses overview under Bachelor's courses.

1. Students can take Dutch language courses at the Department of Dutch as a Second Language.
2. Insurance: VU Amsterdam requires all incoming international students to be properly insured by an internationally recognised insurance agency for the duration of their stay (this is also required by Dutch law). 
3. Living in Amsterdam can be expensive. Make sure that you have sufficient financial means to cover the costs of living. 
4. Experience shows that living and studying in the Netherlands for one year costs a student between €1,000 and €1,100 per month. Some students manage to spend less, but this of course depends on your own lifestyle (and type of accommodation). An indication of likely monthly expenses:
   Rent for housing average: €600 (price range €366 - €1,045)
   Food: €250
   Insurance: €100
   Public transport: €50
   Books: €50
   Other costs: €50
   Total (average): €1,100
5. VISA application information

After they have applied for the exchange programme, students can apply for accommodation through the International Office. A handling fee of €250 per semester is required for this service. Students will be informed about the procedure after uploading their application package.

Housing cannot be guaranteed. Students housing can only be rented for the full period (semester or a year). The number of rooms available is limited and accommodation is assigned on a first paid, first served base. We cannot guarantee accommodation for every student but the International Office will do its utmost to find suitable accommodation for every individual.
