Summer 2021 Application Fee Waiver (2021.04.07 updated)

A friendly reminder that we are waiving the $200 application fee for 50 students who apply for our summer 2021 Intensive ESL and Accelerated Certificate Programs. This promotion is available through June 1 on a first-come, first-serve basis. You must apply using our online application and no code is needed to receive the waiver.

- 學生身分：本校學士、碩士學位生，大二以上（含），不限科系

- 語言門檻：托福TOEFL(iBT) 總分 71 分／雅思IELTS 總分 6.0 分／多益685分／全民英檢中高級（須通過複試）

課程說明

UC Irvine提供本校學生至該校修讀短期課程+實習的機會，將協助安排與所選課程相關之實習計畫，並配有完善的學生諮詢窗口，協助學生履歷寫作、面試技巧、申請實習以及OPT簽證辦理。

學生可選擇6個月的學程(ACP+Internship)或是9個月的學程(ACP+ACP+Internship)。

完成9個月學程的同學將有機會申請在美工作的OPT簽證。

※ Internship 說明

TEFL (Teacher Training) Internships	- Internships are unpaid positions lasting ten weeks. TEFL Interns are paired with a Master Teacher in our Academic 10-Week ESL program and participate in weekly Internship debriefings with an Internship Instructor. - TEFL Interns can also participate in various administrative-level tasks within International Programs for approximately 20-35 hours per week.
Internship (Except for TEFL Internships)	- Gain practical experience with real-life application of the skills and concepts you learned in your Accelerated Certificate Program. Take part in a 10-week professional internship (practicum) with the local Orange County business community.

※ Optional Practical Training (OPT) 說明

Optional Practical Training (OPT)	- OPT is granted through USCIS (the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) and allows students to gain a maximum of 12 months of paid practical work experience while expanding and enhancing their business experience anywhere in the U.S. - Apply for OPT early in your final quarter of academic study. UCI student services staff offers regular information sessions that include details on application procedures, advising, deadlines, and USCIS requirements. Requirements - Students are eligible for OPT after nine months of consecutive full-time study, which can be fulfilled by completing one of the following pathways: 3 ACPs or 2 ACPs + 1 Internship. The internship may be completed in either the second or third quarter. - Optional Practical Training (OPT) must be directly related to the student's final program of study. For example, if the student’s final program of study is an Accelerated Certificate Program + Internship in Business Administration (ACP BA), the student must find employment directly related to Business Administration. The student must be able to explain in writing and person how the concepts, theories, and skills they learned in ACP BA relate to their work experience. Students should keep this in mind when selecting their ACP enrollment pathway.
