General Category
  1. Second-year Undergraduate student/Third-year Undergraduate student. According to the year of study recorded in the Office of Academic Affairs system at the time of internal selection..
  2. GPA should be higher than 3.70.
  3. TOEFL iBT 80 (Accept Home Edition) or IELTS 6.5.
  4. Not available to students in the Department of Philosophy, College of Liberal Arts, College of Medicine.

(Admitted students are limited to depart in the 1st semester of NTU, for their exchange of one semester or one academic year.)

Registration
Students must register as a full-time student at NTU and are liable for tuition fees at NTU while overseas. Students do not have to pay tuition fees to the host university, but remain liable for miscellaneous, accommodation, living, insurance, transportation and other personal fees.
Academic Information
  1. The language requirements listed are the minimum standards. Applicants are advised to look into specific departments and courses to ensure they meet all prerequisites and additional language criteria. The host institution reserves the right to deny admission if no suitable departments or courses are available.

  4. Exchanges are available for any of Scranton's 66 undergraduate disciplines except the Nursing, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy programs.
  5. Minimum academic workload per semester: 12 credit hours per semester (approx. 4 courses)
  6. Health Insurance (mandatory): All exchange students are required to purchase a University of Scranton health insurance policy (Geoblue) for the duration of their stay at the University. The cost of insurance is approximately $125 per month which will be automatically charged to your University account.
  7. Meningitis Immunization (mandatory)ALL students attending The University of Scranton must show proof of meningitis immunization. If you do not have the necessary documentation, or have not been immunized against meningitis, you must go to the Student Health Center upon arrival for this immunization. The health insurance which we will be purchasing, will not cover immunization, therefore, we recommend that you get your immunization at your home country.

  • On-Campus Housing: ALL students participating in The University of Scranton Student Exchange Program must reside on campus as assigned/selected. Exchange students are not allowed to live off campus. The Residence Life office will arrange your University of Scranton housing.
  • Meal Plans: ALL students are required to purchase a meal plan if assigned to a dorm or apartment without a full kitchen.
