Academic Calendar

1. 交換學校一覽表所列之語言能力為該校之最低門檻要求，同學需自行確認語言能力是否符合該校修課要求、查詢是否有相對應的系所及足夠的課程可供選讀、能否達到該校之每學期修課學分數要求、以及是否具備相關領域之背景知識，若未達標準，該校有權拒收。

4. 該校以下院系不開放交換學生申請：Faculty of Medicine, Vetsuisse Faculty (Veterinary Medicine), and Courses of continuing education
5. 該校英語授課課程有限，僅具有英語能力之同學須自行評估是否有課程可供選讀。Most courses for bachelor students are taught in German. The language of instruction is mentioned in the course catalogue. Students should have sufficient proficiency of German and/or English to be able to follow lectures and write exams (CEFR level B2; CEFR level C1 for courses at the English Department). 6. Master students are handeled like bachelor students.
7. For PhD students we have special requirements: PhD students are asked to find a professor at the University of Bern, who will act as their supervisor during the time of their stay in Bern. Only with this support, we can accept exchange students on PhD level.
8. The University of Bern uses the European Credit Transfer System ECTS. 1 ECTS credit is equivalent to 25-30 hours’ work (student workload). A full-time study workload per semester is 30 ECTS. For exchange students, a credit load of 20-25 ECTS is recommended.
