- Students are not recommended to study at NCSU during the final semester of their degree if they have very specific requirements to fulfill such as a specific course or an Independent Study/Thesis Project.

- Insurance: All international students attending NCSU, including exchange students, will be required to maintain a health insurance plan during their time at NC State. Students will be automatically enrolled in the system wide insurance plan administered by Student Blue, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina. The cost of the insurance plan is approximately $1,295.00 per semester. This cost typically rises each year.
