International Graduate Student Scholarship
Note: This is only for 2020/2021 semester recipients
Grant details
- Monthly stipend: NTD 25,000
- Scholarship recipients must pay the tuition fees themselves.
- The stipend will be remitted by the end of each month.
Steps for Scholarship Receiving
First time receiving:
Recipients have to upload the following documents to the Online Scholarship Information Filling System:
- Alien Resident Certificate (ARC)/ROC UI number
- Post Office Bank Account Passbook Cover
- Tuition payment receipt for the current semester
To open a bank account, please go to the post office with:
- ARC
- Passport
- Student ID
- Personal Name Stamp
- NTD 100
Steps for scholarship extension:
An eligibility review will be held once a year by each college. The department/college is in charge of the extension standards and application review process. If your extension application is approved by your department or college, you can continue to receive the scholarship. Please check with your department/college for more information.

- Office of International Affairs is not in charge of the monthly stipend remittance. The exact date of remittance depends on the Accounting Office and the Cashier Division.
- Please note that each year, the January stipend may be delayed because of the changing of the fiscal year. The schedule of remittance may also be delayed in February due to the Lunar New Year holiday.
- Scholarship information will be sent to the recipient's NTU email. Scholarship recipients should check their school email regularly for the latest information.
Outstanding International Graduate Student Scholarship
Grant details
- For 2020/2021 academic year: Monthly stipend: NTD 35,000 (Scholarship recipients must pay the tuition fees themselves)
- Starting 2021/2022 academic year: Tuition waiver/reimbursement + monthly stipend
- Master's Students: minimum stipend of NTD 6,000
- Doctoral Students: minimum stipend of NTD 8,000
- The stipend will be remitted by the end of each month.
Note: For the first semester, tuition fees of up to TWD 65,000 will be waived. For the second semester onwards, the recipient will receive a tuition fee reimbursement for up to TWD 65,000 per semester. The subsidy for tuition and miscellaneous fees is up to NTD 65,000 per semester. This is exclusive of administrative fees, thesis advisor’s fees, insurance, accommodation, internet fees, credit fees and other such fees.

Financial Assistance Grant for International Students
Grant details
- Type 1: Tuition wavier/reimbursement
- Type 2: Tuition waiver/reimbursement + Monthly stipend of NTD 6,000

MOE Taiwan Scholarship
Scholarship details
- Tuition and miscellaneous fees waived up to NTD 40,000 (exclusice of insurance, internet, and accommodation fees).
*Any remaining fees the scholarship receipients must pay themselves. - Monthly Stipend
- Graduate: NTD 20,000/month
Undergraduate: NTD 15,000/month
- Graduate: NTD 20,000/month
- The stipend will be remitted by the end of each month.

- Recipients have to upload the following documents to the Online Scholarship Information Filling System:
- ARC (purpose of residence: studying at NTU)
- Postal bank account passbook cover
- Previous semester's transcript. For graduate students who are working on their thesis and not taking courses for the semester, please submit the Advisor Evaluation Form.
- Tuition payment receipt of the new semester
- Grade point standard: 2.44 for undergraduate and 3.38 for graduate student.
- If recipient fails to pass the grade point standard in the fall semester, the scholarship stipend will be suspended for the following April.
- If recipient fails to pass the grade point standard in the spring semester, the scholarship stipend will be suspended for the following November.
- If recipient fails to pass the grade point standard for two consecutive semesters, the scholarship will be revoked.
